Maker’s bio
Jayne is a talented and popular Liskeard fabric-maker with extensive experience teaching her craft to local people in the town. She has a Design & Embroidery City & Guilds and a BA Hons in Applied Art and Design. Jane’s interest in arts and crafts started at an early age, when her mother introduced her to sewing, embroidery, knitting and crochet. She previously had a studio at the Old Town Quarry in Weston-Super-Mare, where she held workshops in textile art, and now has her own craft studio in her garden at her home in Liskeard.
Jane works in various media, but her favourite work is in textiles. She particularly loves working with fabric, felt, wool and lace. She creates a range of work from cuddly toys and dolls, through to soft furnishing items, delicate laceware and abstract textile art.
