Maker’s bio

Carol’s journey into printmaking started after coming across botanist Anna Atkinson’s 1843 book of Cyanotype photograms at the V and A.  She has always had a love of Prussian Blue, the colour produced using this process.  Further experiments into Lino, intaglio and multimedia printing followed retirement in 2020, and Carol was pleased to take part in Cornwall’s Open Studios later that year.

Having grown up in Looe, Carol now lives in the beautiful seaside village of Downderry.  Every new day brings fresh inspiration throughout the ever changing seasons.
